3 things I learned at lunch with a CFL All Star

I am good friends with CFL All Star, Adrion Smith. I do marketing for Altitude Mutual Funds where he works, so we get to see each other often. He played for the Toronto Argonauts from 1994-2005. He was a CFL All-Star four times and won three Grey CupChampionships (1996, 1997 and 2004) with the Argos.  As of 2008, he is a CFL analyst on Rogers Sportsnet and is a great guy, not just a great football celebrity. Over lunch we had lots of laughs, and here’s 3 things I learned :

1. Many people spend money they don’t have to buy things they don’t need to impress people they don’t like. Don’t do it. (His dad always told him that growing up.)

2. Find your passion and live it. God knows what he put in you, everyone else is just taking an educated guess on what they think you should do with your life. Get some life coaches and go after your dreams.

3. Laugh hard and love life. When Adrion laughs, it’s contagious. Even if he’s laughing at you, you feel like laughing.
