How not to avoid becoming or the kind of man hoing for one …

The world has proven that it’s methods of relationships don’t work, and it’s proved in their divorce rate, and the church has basically done the same thing, and we’ve had the same results. You can’t keep doing the same thing and expect a different result -  it’s the definition of insanity.

Many people have vision to be married, but don’t have the discipline to be a life-long partner, so we have both desperate housewives, and the kind of men who are willing to marry them.

Vision for great marriages is needed. Discipline follows vision.

FIND YOUR PURPOSE THEN FIND YOUR MATE

When I say purpose, I don’t mean your career. I am referring to the reason you’re here. God is not looking for a reason you are alive. Your life has a purpose that has already been established by God. Before we are ready to be successful in handling a relationship, a sense of purpose must be intact.

The alternative is a mindless dating model. If you don’t know where you’re going in life, why do you need someone to go with you? The question we should be asking is not “do you love me, but where are you going?”

Many people get a sense of identity from those they are dating rather than from their sense of purpose. Purpose is released through responsibility. We’re not candidates for lasting relationships if we can’t handle responsibility.

If you are more focused on finding a mate than finding your purpose, you will be a desperate housewife, or the kind of man looking to marry one.
