“Just look natural”

Recently our family had an amazing opportunity:  to act in a concept commercial for CVS Pharmacy, produced by High Rise Studio. 

The shoot was taking place at our home, so it was a funny feeling to be playing a board game in the living room with my kids surrounded by lights, cameras and audio equipment. “Just look natural” is harder than you think when you know your every facial expression and body movement is being captured on film for later critique.

Leadership comes with the responsibility of  understanding that you are being watched. It’s not a bad thing – it comes with the territory. Leaders who are responsible for results embrace this as a part of life. Back in the 90′s, NBA player Charles Barkley was famous for an advertisement he did entitled “I’m not a role model”. While being a role model may not be something some leaders want to embrace, a responsible leaders knows that whether you like it or not, once you accept a leadership role – the cameras are rolling … press on, friends!
